CONFESSION OF FAITHBeing a congregation of baptized believers in Christ Jesus, acknowledging Him as our Lord and Savior, recognizing the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God, we band ourselves together, personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to lost mankind. The sole authority for faith and practice in this church is Jesus Christ whose will is revealed in the Holy Bible. We accept the Bible as complete and infallible and accept the doctrinal statement adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention on May 9, 1963, entitled "The Baptist Faith and Message", which is published by the Sunday School Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and is made a part hereof by reference.
INVITATION We invite youto join this fellowship of believers by profession of your faith in Christ and baptism. You also may join by transferring your membership by letter from a church of like faith and order or by statement of believer’s faith and baptism. You may respond to this invitation by speaking with the pastor during the singing of the invitation hymn. He will counsel you concerning membership. The Bible, God’s Word, tells us the way to become a Christian and it's authority for all of life. Romans 3:10 and 3:23 - All are sinners. Romans 5:12 and Acts 3:19 - Sin separates us from God. John 1:12 and Romans 5:8 - Jesus paid the price for our sin with His life and our belief in Him alone is sufficient to save us. Romans 6:23 and Ephesians 2:8-9 - Salvation from sin is a free gift from God. Romans 10:9-10,13 - And we must respond in faith to what Jesus Christ has done in order to receive salvation and eternal life.
